Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET) is a type of psychotherapy that helps individuals resolve their ambivalent feelings about engaging in treatment and stopping their drug use. The therapist first focuses on the assessment and then the motivation to change through self-copying statements. The therapy focuses on motivating the client to quit drug abuse and work towards the betterment of one’s life.
